Speciality/interests: I have more than 35 years of cartographic experience starting my professional experience as a geologist/seismic geophysicist. Since moving to Tasmania fourteen years ago I have run my own consultancy compiling maps for mining, engineering and environmental companies both in Australia and overseas. Recent projects have included A Solar Atlas for Tasmania; The Firth of Forth – underground coal gasification project; APLNG Environmental Impact Statement 2010; Writing Japan’s War in New Guinea: The Diary of Tamura Yoshikazu; The Gatenby Saga and a Jack the Ripper article. I am a retired Spatial Science Teacher from TafeNSW which means I can assist with the delivery of training courses and the writing of teaching resources.

I have also worked in the mining industry as a GIS/database manager, for indigenous groups in the NT on their Indigenous Protected Areas (IPA) and for Not-for-Profit land care groups. My hobby is registering and re-digitising historical maps of North Qld, especially in the historical mining areas and shipwreck locations.
