The Quest for Longitude – A Sydney Map Group event on May 25

The State Library is holding a Sydney Map group event on Wednesday, May 25 at 6 pm.
Dr James Hunter, Curator RAN Maritime Archaeology, from the Australian
National Maritime Museum will be giving a brief introduction to the latest
exhibition to open at the Maritime Museum *Ships, Clocks and Stars: The
Quest for Longitude*, and point out some of the more fascinating objects
and associated storylines that it presents.
As usual, we will have related maps from the collection on display and –
far removed from the original maps – we’ll have refreshments available.
